Core Series Limited Edition Overdrive 
 
I just checked and a Silver klon is going for $4000+ on reverb. KTRs are $700+ and we that's crazy talk. Here is our very best centaur inspired pedal in a super streamlined CORE series format. With four simple knobs, LEVEL, GAIN, LOWS and HIGHS, this isnt a "klone", really not even close. We think it FAR surpases ANY version of the pony-man pedal! No Klon inspired pedal would be even worth talking about without including the magical, rare NOS D9E germainum diodes, ya we use those! In fact, we use four of them, instead of two. We found this massively improves headroom and lowend, something I often find lacking in the original topology. Not 100% satisfied, we tweaked further, settling on adding additional secret sauce to the clipping section, also NOS parts (New old stock) and the combination blew our minds with harmoincally richness while staying seriously smooth! in fact, we enjoy it so much, this very circuit will now be going into the "Klon" section of the PettyDrive V3! (currently in pre-order and final stages of the initial production phase)
 
The RARE's  smooth break-up and balanced tone is fantastic from low-gain, edge-of-breakup tones all the way through full out overdrive, much like the original while never getting harsh or thin. Running on 9-18v, doubling interally the RARE can achieve over 2x the voltage headroom of the orginal, once again improving lowend response and depth. In low gain settings, it is incredible touch sensitive and adds a natural warmth with harmonic excitment that we often associate with "saturation", sometimes we call it dirty-clean. Perfect for always on tone shaping or as a dirsty boost. Gained up, in bridge pickup positions you'll get huge chords and ripping leads. Then it goes into violin like tones with high output neck pickups or get amazing bluesy/throaty tones with single coils in the neck. To our ears, this pedal is the smoothest through the entire range of any overdrive we have ever made, and thats saying something! It pairs amazingly well with digital amp profilers and modelers due to its smooth characters... no angry bumble bees here! 
 
The sonic magic isnt just from rare diodes. We also pack the RARE with NOS Allen & Bradley resistors in the signal path and carefully selected tone caps, optimixed for smooth, warm tones without ever sounding blurry or muddy. For the ultimate in highs sharing, we include a Emerson custom cap mod, a outrageously wonderful, oil-in-paper tone cap handmade in the USA. We are offering the mod at cost on this one for just $30.
 
 
 
CORE Series Simplicity
The CORE Series features a streamlined control set for quickly dialing in killer tones with four knobs to adjust Level, Gain, Lows and Highs. The RARE features a polished aluminim box with a lovely finish and authentic Oxblood Davies Made in the USA knobs! 
 
CORE Series Dual Rail Power
We designed the CORE Series with a dual rail doubling power supply. This design can scale from +/-7v to +/-18v, effecting the headroom, tone and feel of the pedal, achieving up to four times the headroom over standard 9v pedals. The internal supply achieves this by mirroring whatever input voltage you apply via the external power supply and we always encourage people to experiment. Requires clean power supplty of 7-18v with minimum of 100mA of current. 
 
CORE Series Quiet Bypass
Our entire CORE Series features our quiet bypass switching system. It is a true bypass, relay based system for minimum pop when engaging the effect.
